URSU Governance Master Plan 2021-2022
University of Regina Students’ Union (URSU) encourages all members to contribute to its Governance Masterplan project. Good Governance is very important to us and we want to continue having it present at URSU. URSU is in the progress of reviewing its governance model and governance documents to prepare recommendations for the Board of Directors and membership afterwards.
Given the urgent need for a governance review, URSU is glad to provide opportunities to its members to express their views on URSU governance and inform URSU how they would want to see URSU be governed.

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is comprised of the President, the Vice-President Operations and Finance, the Vice-President Student Affairs and the Vice President External Affairs. Though it is similar in some ways to the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee is a distinct entity that is granted limited powers and responsibility by the Board of Directors in order to ensure the good functioning of the URSU.
Board of Directors
Board of Director members participate in developing and setting the strategy and budget of the organization. The Board can also set goals, measurements of success and priorities for the Executive Committee and the Staff of the organization.
Governing Documents
URSU is governed by a number of written documents to ensure stability in its operations. Modifying, updating and improving these documents is one of the primary functions of the Board of Directors and the membership.
