Promotion Opportunities

URSU wants activities on campus to involve as many students as possible. That’s why we have lots of ways for you to promote your events. Here’s the most frequently used ways:

URSU Poster Boards

URSU has many poster locations around campus secured for your promotion. We let clubs post five posters in total. Each one can be maximum 11 x 17 in (or 28 x 43 cm) large. Come with your five posters, plus one copy for our records, to the URSU office and get them stamped for approval. No staples or tape, please, when you’re hanging them: use the push pins provided. Refer to URSU’s Policy on Campus Promotion (available from our web site) for specifics on how to tack up your posters.

URSU's Social Media Channels

URSU has hopped on board with social media, and we are looking for ways to promote local campus clubs and events.  If you would like one of your events featured on our Facebook Fan Page; Twitter feed; Flickr photostream; or YouTube channel, please contact communications@ursu.ca.  

If your campus club is already on Facebook, and has a Facebook event, just send us an email - or even tweet us - and we will make sure we get your message out to all of our followers.

URSU.TV

Get on the big screen! Talk to URSU about getting your event on the bottom of the 30 flatscreen TVs around campus. We'll give you a template and you supply us with the artwork!

The Carillon

Declass Section

Go to The Carillon offices on Mondays before 5:00 p.m. and submit your Declass advertisement about your event in their submissions box.

Advertising in the Carillon

For those clubs with lots of fundraising capacity, place an ad in The Carillon’s regular advertising sections to promote your event. Contact the Advertisement Manager at the Carillon’s office for more details.
